Destinele celor trei sunt înlănțuite de mrejele destinului, o capcană de emoții din care cele trei personaje vor putea scăpa doar dacă vor reuși să se elibereze de urmele trecutului și să facă pace cu ei înșiși și cu cei din jurul lor.
Părerea mea:
Recunosc că am scris recenzia asta în timp ce ascultam Harlem Shake de Baaauer :))) Un adevărat exemplu de multitasking, din moment ce Harlem chiar e genu’ de muzică care ”bubuie” în urechi. Considerând și faptul că Ce-aș fi eu fără tine e o carte romantică, Baauer pare o combinație ciudată. Dar asta sunt eu, ce să-i faci? 😀
Așaaaa, recenzia. În Ce-aș fi eu fără tine se observă și mai bine stilul lui Musso decât în Fata de Hârtie. Tot romantismul te dă peste cap. Într-un sens bun. Nu e genul mă-face-să-vomit-am-nevoie-de-o-pungă de romantism. Nu, pur și simplu îți ajunge la inimă și îți inundă neuronii. Guillaume Musso chiar reușește să scrie într-un mod foarte realist și chiar dacă sunt multe metafore, e o lectură foarte plăcută.
Când am citit synopsis-ul cărții, care anunța un tată polițist care este pe urmele iubitului fiicei sale, un hoț desăvârșit, mi-am spus că am mai auzit povestea asta înainte. Bine, am aflat că ce scria acolo era greșit, pentru că era exact invers în carte, ceea ce a făcut totul mult mai interesant, deoarece nu mai era o poveste comună. Adevărul este că poveștile lui Musso nu sunt niciodată comune, el pur și simplu scrie cu atât de multă dedicație, reușind să facă dintr-un simplu manuscris o adevărată operă de artă. Totul pare atât de realist, cititorul chiar simțindu-se de parcă ar face parte din acțiune, fiind alături de personaje, simțind ce simt și ele, gândind la fel ca ele.
Ok, acum am trecut la Lana del Rey, deci ar cam fi cazul să vorbim despre latura romantică a cărții, care ocupă cea mai mare parte a ei. Povestea de iubire a lui Martin și a Gabriellei nu este una întâlnită prea des, ei regăsindu-se în mod miraculos după aproximativ 15 ani, văpaia unei iubiri trecute reaprizând flacăra iubirii ce a fost, cea care le-a sfâșiat sufletele. Toate acestea intercalate cu multă acțiune, elemente de supranatural și un părinte care dorește doar să își ia rămas-bun de la fiica sa, în ciuda meseriei sale.
Pentru cei care vor să se piardă într-o carte pentru puțin timp, să trăiască odată cu personajele, atunci Ce-aș fi eu fără tine e alegerea perfectă pentru ei.

Just Do It. Just Write.
Ever since I wrote The Undesirable, people have asked me how I did it–how I finished it. A lot of people have asked, and I alway struggle with the answer.
The fact is, I just did it. I had an idea in my head, I mulled over it for awhile, and then one day I sat down and started to write. One page became two, the then four, then ten.
And at some point, the idea took hold and I just couldn’t stop typing. Then I outlined the story–and at one point, I could almost see the story take shape. I felt compelled to keep writing as if something inside me was finally breaking loose. It sounds lofty, I know, but it’s pretty much exactly what happened. Once I started on a roll, I could not stop. What’s more–I didn’t want to, not even for one minute.
In the early fall of 2012, while in the middle of edits for the book, I attended a writing conference at Rose State College in Oklahoma City–a “writing short course” if you will. As he closed the course, Bill Bernhardt told everyone there that making writing a habit is one of the most important things to do during the creative process. He said the funny thing was (and I am paraphrasing here), working on something a little every day would make parts of the story come alive in other ways—like on a morning drive, or while washing dishes, or while doing the laundry. Pretty soon, he said, you’d start getting ideas and vision for the story from everywhere.
His advice is spot on.
So, in the end, that’s my advice, too. If you want to write a novel–just do it. Make a commitment, sit down, fire up the computer, and start. Write and write and write every day until 1000 words becomes 10,000 and then 40,000 and beyond. Resolve to do it–and then… just do it!
